Amy grabed a granola bar and ate while she slowly walked to her bedroom to start her homework....and change her top. Amy finished her homework and turned on her laptop to check her email. There was one message from Claire it said:
Amy would you just stop talking to me you are sooooooo embarasing. Ok I know we have been friends for three years but times change people change.
Claire
"Oh my gosh people just... just" Amy's eyes welled up in hot tears she layed on her bed and cried.
The next day it was Thursday the first day of work, well after school that is. Amy threw on her sweater and a pair of dark wash jeans and put up her hair in a pony tail. She grab another granola bar and ate it while walking to the bus. When the bus finally came she climbed up the steps, she just noticed that she had butterflies in her stomach. She took her usual seat next to Connor. "Hey Connor" Amy said. "Ummm hey. Amy I have question... will you go out with me?''

*SAY WHAT?*
Luke finished his homework in time for dinner .*NO LONGER FAWKING BLIND!!!*
He grabbed his TV dinner from the counter and yelled to his mother "I'm eating up stairs." She didn't even bother to respond this time. Luke got upstairs and set his chicken on his desk and lay on his bed checking his phone for missed alerts, he wasn't very hungry. There were a total of 7 phone calls and texts from Jena saying "I hate you." and "Your such a douch."
He didn't even care anymore.
Luke curled into a ball on his bed and reached over to his make shift radio and turned it to his favorite screamo station and fell asleep in his jeans and t-shirt.
Lucas woke with a jolt and wiped the saliva from his jaw that had escaped while he was sleeping. He looked at his clock and cussed under his breath for he was already 5 minutes late for first period.
So what? he thought, it's just alegbra.....
He slowly sat up and threw on a new pair of jeans and a fresh lavendar smelling t-shirt.

Amy's jaw dropped open. Connor's face turned a bright shade of red " well I can handle it if you say no" he said shyly. " Oh no thats fine, sure when?" "Well..." Connor paused " how about Saturday evening.. a movie?" "Yeah I belive I'm free I'll check tonight.. no forget it. That's fine see you then!" There conversation had lasted the whole bus ride.
Amy jumped when the bell rang signaling the end of school. Amy quikly walked to her locker. She felt so weird there, her locker was two over from Claire. Amy shoved he assignments into her backpack and jogged to the parking lot to wait for her mom to pick her up for work. This would be a good time to own a car Amy thought. "Hey Amy" Connor cried. "Oh, Hey Connor." Connor smiled at her and waved good bye. Amy had never noticed that she did kinda like him. He had bright green eyes and redish blonde hair. His face was heart shaped with freckles covering his nose. She waved back smileing.
"Bye Amy call me when your shifed is over." " Okay mom see you." Amy slamed the door shut.
"Hi" Amy said to the receptionist "were should I start?" "Miss Burn right?" " Yep thats me" Amy gave her a smile. "Mr. Eversons can you show Miss Burns were room 180 is that's were she will be starting."

Luke was in no hurry to get to school. He slowly drove his white honda integra into the school parking lot and parked it next to a blue mercedes. He climbed out and let life drive it's way through the day. But when he got to the nursing home and had changed into his long white apron. He was pulled from his absent mindedness and had to answer a question. "Yeah...I'll take her there." Lucas slowly walked her to the room.

Ok Amy follow Lucas to the elavator. "So Lucas..." Amy trailed off she didn't know what to say. "Ummm so who's in 180?"

"Ms. Bunwater," Luke said staring at the buttons on the wall. "It's her maiden name. Her husband dies two years ago. I think she is a little crazy..." Lucas looked at Amy and smiled. He felt a lot better now.

"I share her with you, so you won't be alone." Luke laughed, a soft but bellowing sound. The elavator doors opened and Amy and Luke no longer had any privacy. Luke held the door for Amy and then walked out himself.

Amy slowly opened Ms. Bunwater's door. "Hello helllo?" she whispered. "Anyone home" Amy chuckled to her self. "Where is she Lucas?"

"Probably taking a shower or in the bathroom," Luke said joining her chuckle. "We can just clean up for now." He took a dust pan and handed it to Amy, then he found a broom.

" Okay" she grabbed the dust pan and began sweeping the walk-way. Amy then dusted the end tables, lamps, and hutch.
Twenty minutes later Ms. Bunwater wheeled threw the doorway.
" Hello kids thank you for painting my walls." Amy looked over to Lucas so this is what he ment by crazy.
The lady that had wheeled her in said I took her to the knitting class we have here every Monday and Thursday. If thats alright?" "Oh yeah " Amy nodded, "that absolutly fine."
Ms. Bunswater was not as crazy as she seemed at first. She talked alot about her grandkids Anne and Luke. Amy noticed that there names were quit simalir to her and Lucas's names but she shugged that off in a hurry. "Well Lucas our shif is over."Amy said once she noticed the time "Bye Ms. Bunwater see you on Sunday" "Bye kids" Ms. Bunwater mumbled as she dozed off.

"Oh yeah that'd be great let me call my mom tho cause was going to pick me up." Amy quickly called her mom, no one answerd. She snapped her phone shut in a upset mannor. "That would be fine."

"Okay, then," Luke said and lead her to his car, "Just hop in and buckle up. " He went to his side of the car and got in and revved the engine.

"Thank you so much" Amy said and got in the car. It was a silent ride home. Once Lucas pulled in the driveway Amy quickly got out and slammed the door shut. She did not care what Lucas thought she was mad at her mom. Her job was just to time consuming. The sky was dark and it looked like it was going to rain. CRACK! A flash of lighting lit the sky. Amy thought what if Lucas didn't offer me a ride I would be stuck in the rain... well I guess I could go into the nurseing home. But still!
Amy walked up stairs and peaked in her mom's office it was empty. "Well, Well thats no suprise" Amy whispered to herself. She continued walking to her room. Amy started on her homework, but she soon fell asleep on her math book.
BLEEP BLEEP, Amy's hand came down on her alarm. "ARG" she cried out. She threw on a shirt and jeans, and than jogged down the stairs. Amy grabbed some breakfast and walked to her bus. The bus screeched to a stop infront of Amy, she slowly walked on and took her spot by Connor. "Hi Amy how are you?"Connor asked once she sat down "Oh not much different from yesterday." He asked her a few questions and she told him the answers all the way to school. He walked her to her locker and before walking away he asked her if he could sit with her a lunch. "Sure" she exclamed " that would be fine!"
